I could NOT be happier to announce my latest collaboration with none other than Chelsea King – an ethical and sustainable hair accessory company! 🎉
Not only is it amazing to work with other women-owned small businesses, but Chelsea King originated out of good ol’ Vancouver, my old stomping grounds! That connection alone made quite the spark.
Growing up, my childhood was fuuuuull of adventures. With my dad being a professional hunter and outdoor TV Producer, I always KNEW I wanted to be a part of the industry in some way. But on the other hand, I grew up dancing and still loved fashion and interior design.
And now in the present day, I am happy to say I live a good mixture of the two. I love to hunt and get outdoors, but I also love all things fashion and beauty. I love to decorate, renovate, and design cozy home spaces, hence why Eva & Co. was born!
The best part of having this platform is being able to share and relate to other women with similar interests. I am always encouraging women that it’s totally okay to love both fashion AND getting dirty outdoors.Â
In case you haven’t noticed, I LOVE getting all dolled up and heading out on the town, but most of my time consists of living that mom/entrepreneur life which doesn’t always include dressing up… womp, womp. So while my day-to-day fashion is usually a little more laid back and comfortable, I still like to look like I have my life together – even when I don’t, ha!Â
I’m a BIG fan of accessories like hats, headbands, bandanas, and scrunchies to give me a styled and ‘put-together’ look. On top of momming, meetings, and life in general, I still pride myself on looking nice. Besides the fact that I am sliiiightly obsessed with accessories, they honestly just make my life easier! Adding these simple accessories to my everyday look is quick and painless and exactly what my crazy days require.
Chelsea King headbands are one of my go-to’s for any occasion, so a collab with one of my faves?? Um, YES PLEASE!
With my preference for neutrals, the outdoors, and mom-life in mind, I selected and designed two scrunchies and one exclusive headband to make up the Chelsea King x Eva Shockey Collection.
It’s SO fun being able to work with another female-owned business. I have always been in LOVE with Chelsea King’s style. The simplistic, refined, and natural designs are right up my alley. Not to mention the quality craftsmanship they bring to each and every piece! They believe in sustainable and ethical manufacturing and have a quality-over-quantity philosophy.
When choosing fabrics and patterns for this collection, I focussed on my love of the outdoors, on-the-go mom lifestyle, along with my desire for that “elevated†look when it comes to everyday wear.
What does that mean exactly?! Obviously denim. Iconic denim never goes out of style and y’all know denim on denim is my love language. Next up, warm winter hues in a check pattern, YES PLEASE! Natural, neutral yet refined for a triple threat. Finally, FAUX FUR in a fawn pattern. Comfortable, inspired by the outdoors, and super stylish…need I say more?Â
