Next up in my House to Home series is the heart of the home – the kitchen! We’re alwaaays gathered there…from sharing a family meal to doing school projects.
When we built 5 years ago, I kept the look of the kitchen clean and classic with a few rustic touches – look at that custom wood beam wrapped around the hood fan from Appalachian Antique Hardwoods! 😍
One “happy accident” that happened when building was that I ordered the wrong hardware for the drawer pulls. I ordered larger appliance pulls – DOH! But they are actually one of my favorite things about the kitchen! Functional, and they look different from the ordinary. Thanks, Tob Knobs!
Another thing that has stood the test of time is my Miele appliances. Aside from the fact that their aesthetic A-game is ALWAYS on with their industrial look, these are the smartest appliances I’ve ever owned!
I’ve got to say that the kitchen is one space in the home that hasn’t changed much design-wise. Aside from all my dreeeeamy Eva & Co. decor accents, the thing that has made our kitchen homier is all the amazing memories we’ve had as a family over the years!
