We just got back from our second trip to the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos, and yet again, it was absolutely AHH-MAZING – thanks to Beaches!
As soon as I left the resort last time (me a taaaad later than the kids and Tim – IYKYK 😉), I knew I had to bring the family back one day. And here we are!! I have to say that the second time around was so fun and exhausting! Mr. Boone went full speed all day long (his favorite place was by far the waterpark), and Leni loved the Kids’ Camp, where she sang in a Talent Show! I have no idea where she got that from! Tim and I even got to sneak away (thanks to the incredible staff at the Kids’ Camp) and have a romantic early 40th birthday dinner on the beach.
If you’re searching for the perfect tropical family getaway, Beaches Turks & Caicos is 11/10! 🙌
I covered a looooot in this post, from tips on traveling to Turks & Caicos to our favorite activities! Use the table of contents to jump to each section!
Our kids are the best little travelers now, so it was a fairly smooth trip!
We flew into an airport called PLS, and there were lots of good flight options from North Carolina. We flew Delta from Raleigh through Atlanta, and it was a breeze!
One thing that I can’t recommend enough is paying for a Fast Track Pass! It zips you through customs and immigration. It’s $75 per person but sooooo worth it in peak travel season with those looooong custom lines!
If you want to get fancy and travel in ultimate comfort, you can sign up for the VIP Flyer’s Club! It gives you a personal airport guide to help expedite your departure and makes getting through security a breeze. The major plus is it allows you to hang out in a VIP lounge with snacks, beverages, and AC. You have to get to PLS 2+ hours before your flight and when the airport is packed without any seats or air conditioning, the extra money for VIP Flyer’s Club is sometimes worth it.
Beaches Turks & Caicos did it again with their EXCEPTIONAL customer service! All of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful from the minute we stepped onto the property to the sad day when we had to leave.
This time around, we opted to stay in the Italian Penthouse Oceanview Concierge Family Suite with Kids Room! It was perfect for us as a family of four. Leni And Boone loved the bunk beds! Being on the concierge level, you get to enjoy extra perks like a private lounge, a stocked mini-bar, and close contact with a concierge agent who takes care of eeeeeverything during your stay! Last time, we had our own butler and didn’t have to lift a finger for anything, but we enjoyed this more affordable option just as much!
Beaches offers a wide range of accommodation types and prices, from 3+ bedroom villas with butler services to one-bedroom units. There are great options for a lot of price ranges, which is something we loved seeing!
We spent most of our time on the beach because it is literally the most beautiful beach and water I’ve ever seen! The kids love to run and play in the sand, and Mama likes to lounge on the beach with a book and a margarita. PRO TIP: Go EARLY and get a good spot for the day.
If you need something else to do, Beaches has every water sport imaginable with top-of-the-line equipment and professional instruction! The best part?! It is all included in your stay!! Here is what you can venture off and do while staying at Beaches:
If you’re looking for something to do on land, there are a ton of included activities! Here are just a few scattered throughout the resort:
For all those wanting to be pampered the award-winning Red Lane Spa is where it’s at! I went on our last trip and it was heaven on earth. Spa services aren’t included but soooo worth it – especially if you need your sore muscles worked on after going down the waterslides a million times with the kids. 😂
We were only here for six days, so we didn’t even get to do everything offered at the resort! But, if you’re going for a longer stay, you may want to venture off and plan a day excursion or two. These are not included, but the staff at Beaches will help arrange every little detail for you! Here are some of the popular excursions that we were told were amazing:
If you’re looking for a resort that caters to families, look no further than Beaches! When I say that they have thought of everything…I’m talking everrrrything!
Last time we went, Boone was too small to really enjoy some of the activities, but man, oh man, this time around, he never stopped moving! There was always something to do and the kids never got bored.
Here are Leni and Boone’s biggest highlights:
Beaches has 21 restaurants on-site to choose from, and they are ALL included in your stay…dangerous, right!? Last time we went, our favorites were Sapodillas (Caribbean Cuisine), Soy (Sushi Bar), and Neptune’s (Mediterranean Seafood). There were also 2 amazing waterpark food trucks – Mr. Mac (Mac n’ cheese) and Curls ‘n Swirls (Ice Cream) – which were perfect for the kids.
This year, we obviously had to try NEW restaurants, and they did not disappoint! We loved Kimono’s – a Teppanyaki grill that was like dinner and a show! Tim and I’s favorite restaurant, hands-down, was the Sky Lounge – an adult-only rooftop restaurant with stunning views of Grace Bay and the most delicious Carribean-Italian fusion food. As for casual lunch food, we were told multiple times to check out the Jerk Shack on the beach. The jerk chicken was absolutely mouth-watering y’all! Click HERE for all restaurant info.
Beaches went above and beyond for us as we celebrated Tim’s 40th birthday! They helped me plan a private dinner on the beach for just Tim and I. It was the most romantic setting, and the service was incredible. We felt like royalty!
In addition to the delicious food options, Beaches has TONS of bars everywhere, including a swim-up bar at the Caribbean Village pool that was so fun. I had an expresso martini with tequila that was out of this world, and the kids drank their weight in virgin piña coladas!
If you want to explore local restaurants, here are a few that were recommended to me: Coco Bistro for dinner, Coco Van for a more casual dinner, Hemingway’s for a casual lunch or dinner on the beach, Bay Bistro for dinner on the beach, Turks Kebab for a super casual dive bar and Turkish cuisine, and Da Conch Shack for casual island food on the beach.
It’s not every day that we go on a beach vacation (growing up, it was all hunting, fishing, and woods!), but since the last time we went to Turks & Caicos, I’ve learned a thing or two about what extras are worth bringing. Here’s what I highly recommend bringing!
That’s a wrap on this vacation recap y’all! I could go on and on about the zillion and one activities that are included when you stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos (but I would be here forever, ha)! No matter what type of vacation you’re looking for (relaxing on the beach and being pampered at the spa or beach volleyball and action-packed watersports), there is something for everyone!

Hey! I have a daughter with celiac disease (can’t eat gluten or have even a pepper flake of gluten products accidentally cross contaminated on her food)
Would beaches be accommodating to help support her with this so we could come on a family trip?
