I was lucky enough to sneak away to South Dakota last weekend with Tim for a little mule deer rifle hunt! It was sooooo nice to get outside with the hubs doing what we both love. I had a few close calls on some nice bucks, but no luck this time! Here’s a round-up of everything that I took on the hunt!
Ya’ll know I NEVER go on a hunt without my Qalo silicone rings! I always swap out my diamond rings for Qalo’s lightweight, durable ones.
Not only are they built for performance, the Eva Shockey collection is suuuuuuper stylish and designed with the female hunter in mind.
Leupold BX-5 Santiam HD Binoculars
These Leupold binos have always been my go-to to spot those BIG BUCKS!
Even in the worst conditions and the most extreme ranges, you’ll get bright & crisp images.
Leupold RX-14001 TBR/W Rangefinder
Never miss a shot with this Leupold rangefinder!
The most versatile rangefinder in its class, you’ll get fast and accurate ranges in no time.
From spot to shot, Leupold Optics has you covered! Finish the job with the VX-6 HD Rifle Scope, giving you the most high-definition images even at dusk and dawn!
Christensen Arms Traverse 6.5 PRC
I swapped out my bow for this beautiful Christensen Arms Traverse for my mule deer rifle hunt!
This is a true performance bolt-action rifle built for the backcountry. Hiiiiighly recommend.
Hornady ELD-X Precision Hunter Bullets
My go-to rifle ammo! These bullets deliver match-grade accuracy with a high-tech, expanding hunting bullet. They have extremely high ballistic coefficients, secant ogives, and a boattail design for an exceedingly streamlined and aerodynamic shape to reduce air drag, minimizing bullet drop and wind drift.
When I’m on the move, I need clean and healthy energy to keep me hiking up those hills!
I LOVE the MTN OPS Ignite Trail Packs because they’re quick and easy with no need to stop for lunch.
It’s all about hydration out there! I use my MTN OPS water bottle to shake up my trail packs and hydrate all day long.
Hothands Warmers Fleece Watch Cap
To keep warm and be seen, an orange beanie or cap is always my go-to!
Whether I’m shooting or out in the field, this Walker’s headset is what I grab!
It’s comfortable, doesn’t tangle and has a Bluetooth version that you can control from your SmartPhone.
For the coldest hunts, I grab my SHE Outdoor C4 Jacket!
100% waterproof, breathable and insulated. PLUS, it’s specifically designed to fit the female form.
When it’s cold enough to bring out my C4 jacket, you better believe it’s cold enough for the matching pants too!
Layer, layer, layer in case the warm afternoon sun hits.
Cabela’s Rimrock Mid Gore-tex Hiking Boots
These are my favorite hunting boots because they are lightweight enough to climb ridges yet warm enough for even the coldest days.
The 100% waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX membrane technology and moisture-wicking linings inside these rugged hiking boots keep your feet dry and comfortable, rain or shine!
I LOVE my vests, and I love this one even more because it is REVERSIBLE!
From hunting to hiking, this will be one of your go-to layers!
Performance Crew-Neck Long-Sleeve Shirt
Last but not least is one of my FAVORITE layers, SHE Outdoor’s long-sleeve shirt.
Suuuuuper lightweight and it’s a great base layer when the weather is unpredictable.
That’s it for my Fall hunting gear round-up! Let me know what your trusted hunting gear is in the comments! AND GOOD LUCK this hunting season, y’all!
