Hey y’all,
If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I’m usually pretty dialed in when it comes to health. But over the past year, I’ve become even more in tune with how my body’s functioning and what I’m putting into it because, well… life has a way of putting things into perspective.
A few years ago, I lost my sweet mama to lung cancer. By the time any symptoms showed up, it had already progressed to stage 4. The doctors told us it had likely been growing for years. If it had been caught earlier, there might’ve been more options. That experience changed how I look at health and prevention, not just for myself, but for our whole family.
Tim and I started talking about being proactive instead of reactive, and we both knew we wanted to do some sort of full-body scan. The problem was… we didn’t even know if something like that existed. When I went searching for a scan, Prenuvo kept popping up and was highly recommended by sooo many people.
Prenuvo is a full-body, non-invasive MRI that takes about an hour-no contrast dye, no referral needed. It’s basically a head-to-toe health check that screens for early signs of cancer (even stage 1!), autoimmune issues, brain aneurysms, spinal degeneration, and more. They’ve got locations all over the U.S., and I went to their Atlanta clinic for mine.
The scan collects detailed data on all your major organs, spine, and brain. It’s such a powerful tool for peace of mind and an amazing baseline for future health decisions. One stat that really stuck with me? 1 in 20 scans result in a potentially life-saving diagnosis. That alone made it feel worth it.
When I walked into the Prenuvo office in Atlanta, it felt more like a wellness spa than a medical clinic. It was calm, quiet, and honestly very relaxing which is not how I usually feel before an MRI.
After checking in, I got changed into scrubs (feeling very Dr. Eva, not gonna lie), then headed into the scan room. The whole process took about an hour, and I got to watch my favorite Netflix show while I laid there. I know some people get a little claustrophobic with MRIs, but I had zero issues. I was actually so relaxed, I didn’t want it to end! I swear I blinked and it was over!
About five days, my results came through on Prenuvo’s super easy-to-use app. The dashboard breaks everything down clearly, with images and summaries you can actually understand. It gave me time to review everything before my follow-up call with someone from their internal clinical team PLUS, I was able to send all the findings to my primary care doc, who was really impressed with the quality of the scan.
My virtual consultation with the Prenuvo healthcare professional was such a great experience. He took the time to walk through every finding and answered all my questions without rushing. It gave me so much peace of mind.
Luckily, there was nothing too serious! Apparently I have scoliosis? News to me, but not to Tim, who apparently just knew that? Thanks for the heads up! They also found a deviated septum (explains why allergy season wrecks me), a small brain spot that the doctor reassured me was totally harmless, and a few other small things like a bone spur and healing herniated discs.
I’m so glad I decided to get the scan. Not only did it give me some answers for things I’d been feeling physically, but it also gave me a real sense of peace knowing that I now have a clear baseline for my health moving forward.
Yes, the scan can be an investment but I genuinely believe it’s worth it if you’re serious about taking care of your long-term health. If you’re interested, you can use my link:

The last thing the doctor said to me really stuck:
“What you do today will impact your life decades from now.”
That hit home and it’s exactly why I’m committed to staying proactive with my health. Let’s do it together!
