Swell Bottles: Okay HI these are the cutest bottles ever, right?! They also make everything from tumblers to barware and do it for an amazing cause: according to their website, S’well has committed more than $1.4 million since 2017 to UNICEF’s water programs in Madagascar, a country where nearly 50% of the population still lacks access to clean water. Give a bottle and give clean water and hygiene to people in need.
Lotte321: It’s hard not to want to buy ALLLL of these adorable pieces of jewelry, but even more so when you read the founder’s story: she developed this company after her niece was born with Down Syndrome–and later was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Lotte321 donates 15% of ALL sales to causes that support research for both of these causes.
Thrive Market: Thrive Market is basically my BFF, but they’re coming in even more handy (like, how is that possible, Thrive Market?! GIVE ME YOUR SECRETSSSS) during the holidays because they offer GIFT CARDS!! You can grab a few of these gift cards for friends or family members and know you’re sponsoring a free membership for a low-income family, student, teacher, veteran, or first responder with your purchase. I love their Thrive Gives slogan: “As a community, we can all thrive together.”
Sackcloth and Ashes: I recently discovered this incredible brand via Lauren Akins, and I am genuinely thrilled to have been influenced: not only are these blankets beautiful and super cozy, they fund a really powerful mission, too. Sackcloth and Ashes is dedicated to “blanketing the USA” by providing blankets (and comfort!!) to homeless shelters, foster children, and more. Scoop one (or a few) up from World Market or from their website and use code EVASHOCKEY for 30% off now through December 17th!
Thistle Farms: This incredible organization has everything from baby gifts to candles and decor and more–and proceeds benefit trafficking survivors. This is such an important topic and one we became more educated about this year: share the knowledge and a gift from Thistle Farms with a friend, sister, or mom this year to make a real impact during the holidays.
My Kindness Calendar: We’re really trying to make sure Leni understands the holidays are more about GIVING than RECEIVING, and being intentional about that at her age definitely still requires a fun-for-her element. We just put up the “My Kindness Calendar” where you do an act of service or kindness per day rather than getting something–it’s already a huge hit and a tradition we’re so excited to share with her and eventually Boone!
LottoLove: This is SUCH a great stocking stuffer idea! These fun scratch-offs don’t win money for you, but instead are a fun way to see 1 of 4 causes you’re donating to. They support literacy tools for kids, clean water, nutritious meals, and more!
Cuddle and Kind: Leni has a handmade doll from Cuddle and Kind and not only is she obsessed, but it’s one of the sweetest gifts she has ever gotten. These ethically made dolls and stuffed animals provide 10 meals to children in need for every one sold. How incredible is that?! If the cute factor didn’t up the ante for you to add this to your Christmas shopping list, I’m positive knowing you’ll make a difference with your purchase will do the trick.
Purpose Jewelry: Jewelry that’s both beautiful and supports a cause?! Say no more. Purpose Jewelry is dedicated to saving girls and women from trafficking by providing them with shelter, education, job training and more. I especially love this pair of earrings and plan to gift everyone I know a little something from Purpose (with a purpose!) this year.
The Tote Project: Totes are my favorite reusable shopping bags and these might be my favorite new ones. The Tote Project aims to end human trafficking and not only do they make these fair trade totes ethically and in a way that empowers those who make them, but they also work relentlessly to end trafficking and employ survivors to give them hope and economic freedom.
Anchor Beads: My friend began this incredible company when her sweet little girl was battling leukemia in 2015; though she unfortunately lost her fight with the disease, Georgia’s legacy lives on through Anchor Beads. These chunky necklaces have a special place in my heart and my closet because there are so many GORGEOUS/rustic elements to each one, and 10% of all proceeds go to Childhood Cancer Research in honor of sweet Georgia.
I don’t know about y’all, but I am SO ready to get my giving on this year. It was hard to write this without feeling the call to do something–and even though I want to get up and get my volunteering on, the safest way to show love right now is to SHOP these products above! Let me know if there’s an organization or company you LOVE that should be on this list, and happy holidays!!
