As many of you know the two main men in my life are my husband, Tim, and my dad, Jim. They are both super cool manly-men, they love hunting/fishing/golfing/anything competitive, they’re mega tough and as you can imagine, they’re very hard to buy any gifts for. So I’ve done some digging and came up with my all-time FAVORITE items for those special guys in your life, so here we go…
#1: Crosman Jim Shockey Steel Eagle Air Rifle
To start off, I just HAD to put his Steel Eagle Air Rifle at the top of this gift guide. I love, love, love shooting my Crosman air rifles because they’re quiet, easy to use, and fun for shooters of all levels and ages.
I love me some MTN OPS! I use tons of their products, but if I had to choose my top two for guys, here they are! Ignite is THE BOMB and gives me so much energy. It gives you sustained energy with no crash and tastes amazing. My other go-to MTN OPS product is Magnum Protein! Magnum improves muscle strength, recovery, and performance for guys who love working out, or who love the idea of staying healthy without working out. You can drink this in a shaker-cup mixed with water or put it in a fruit smoothie for a midday snack. Yum, yum, and more yum.
We use Stealth Cams every season in Saskatchewan to monitor the whitetails and try to increase our awareness of their patterns and movements. At the end of the day, animals do what they want, when they want, but having trail cameras set up will undoubtedly give you an advantage during hunting season! This is the new Stealth Cam DS4K and it’s unreal – I promise any guy will LOVE this!#4: Cabela’s Catch-All Gear Bags
Every man needs somewhere to put all of his STUFF (other than on the floor… I’m talking to YOU Tim Brent, ha), so these bags are a perfect gift! They’re small and lightweight (and inexpensive!) and they’re perfect for on-the-go guys!
#5: YETI Hopper 30 & YETI Rambler Colster
I’m a huge fan of all YETI products, but these are two YETI items that every guy will love! The Hopper 30 is perfect for camping, fishing, hunting or just hanging out at home and the YETI Rambler doesn’t even need an explanation other than: cold beer.
These are my go-to hearing protectors when I’m shooting at the range or in a real hunting situation. They’re wireless, small, electronic, and I’ve got Tim hooked on them! Not only are they a great gift, but they’re a great way to ensure that the guy in your life will be able to hear for years to come! (I sure wish my dad had these when he was younger.. ha!)
#7: Traeger Pro Series 34 Pellet Grill
If you know me, you know I love my Traeger. Tim and I grill on it 4-5 times a week (like my wild game meatloaf), and I would honestly give up my kitchen for it if I had to make the choice. This grill is every man’s dream because you can smoke meat, grill meat, check the temp of the meat, AND set it like an oven without worrying about temperature variation. Tim hated cooking before we got the Traeger, and now he enjoys it because it’s so straightforward and turns out great every time. I cannot say enough good things about this grill! There are lots of different models and price points on the Cabela’s website so check them out and see which one is best for you!
#8: Nockturnal Universal Lighted Nocks
For the archer in your life, these nocks are a game-changer. When you’re shooting at a target, they’re awesome because you can watch the flight of your arrow (and if you miss the target, not naming any names, it’s easier to find your arrow in the grass – ha!), but when you’re in a hunting situation and you make a shot, these nocks show you exactly where the arrow goes through the animal and gives you the ability to know where the shot landed and to make a decision based on that information.
I’ve been a Muzzy fan for awhile because they fly true, but after shooting the 3-blade Trocar broadheads for years and thinking I’d never shoot anything else, these Hybrids are blowing my mind. They’re the perfect combination of fixed and expandable so you get the best of both worlds without compromising on quality.
I love shooting my GlenDel buck target because it’s the closest thing to a real-life hunting situation for archery practice. It’s the size and shape of a whitetail so it allows me to get in the mindset of having a real animal standing in front of me so when a real buck walks out, I’m ready to make the perfect shot in the perfect spot.
#11: Daniel Defense Ambush .308
This gun is #GOALS. It is so much fun to shoot and is super accurate. I used it this past fall on an elk hunt and it was the best. This semi-automatic MSR is fast-handling, hard-hitting, and makes you look SO COOL when you’re hunting with it. This rifle is an investment, but Daniel Defense makes top quality products that last a lifetime (and can get passed down from generation to generation) and they stand by their 100% satisfaction guarantee!
I’ve only ever used Leupold optics so I might be a little bit biased, but they truly are the best optics out there. They’re made right here in the USA (LOVE THIS!) and they are tough, reliable, and have a new “twilight max” feature for better low-light performance. These are my favorite binos and any outdoorsy-guy will LOVE them.#13: Leupold Golf Rangefinder
Not every guy is a hunter (I know… it’s crazy!?) so if the man in your life prefers hitting the links more than the woods, this rangefinder is a must! Tim is part hunter, part fisherman, and part golfer so he has this range finder and uses it every time he’s on the golf course.#14: Skull Hooker European Mounting Brackets
I’ve always been a euro-mount fan, so all of my whitetails are currently hanging with Skull Hooker mounts around my house. These mounting brackets are super easy to use (they take me less than 5 minutes to set up) and they have all different kinds for big wall mounts, small wall mounts, table mounts, and the list goes on. These are the PERFECT way for the husband/dad/boyfriend/brother in your life to mount his favorite whitetail, buffalo, antelope or nearly any other european mount.
It’s hard to beat a gift card, especially when you don’t know what to get that special dad/husband/brother/boyfriend/son. If you’re stuck and want something that he’ll love, this is a no-brainer!
I think that wraps up my lonngggg list of He-gifts! I have a couple more GIFT GUIDES waiting for you, so if you’re looking for a great Gift Guide for HER, click here!! If you’re after a Gift Guide for your SPOUSE, click here!!
Let me know what you guys end up doing for the holidays this year and don’t forget to tell all the amazing guys out there how much you love and appreciate them!
