Balancing Passion For The Outdoors With Daily Demands

I love the idea of bringing your bow with you everywhere and re-route indoor activities outdoor, but what about winter? I feel so trapped when it’s in the teens for weeks at a time, what do you do to get outside then? Where I’m at, there’s too much ice on the roads to go for a run, my hammock is iced over and stiff, and I’m not laying in the snow to read a book. Help me Eva!

Bundle up and go for a snow hike! Hiking in the winter with my dogs is one of my favorite things to do! I usually get the trails to myself as well which is a bonus! Untouched snow is beautiful!

I’m with ya on this one , M. I’m from Pa and this cold weather has got to stop! 5° is too cold for this girl! I wanna take my babe outside, and go for a hike dang-it!

Love this! Unfortunately, in Saskatchewan, we’re in hibernation mode and spending time outdoors is the last thing on the agenda. But I love your idea of taking the bow with you. I use the same theory with reading, always have a book with me. I’d love to get into archery though.
I have to ask, where do you get your hunting clothes? They look warm and look like they fit. We tried to find new gear for me as it was my first ever hunting season and it’s surprisingly difficult! Women’s hunting wear is slim pickings–and costly.

  10. I love all your blogs, but this one is so fitting for busy moms! I’m a mom of three, business owner and pastor’s wife, so there is no “free” time. I have to be very intentional about time in the outdoors. I haven’t been able to get outdoors near as much as I want, and clearly (after reading this) you totally get it. I so appreciate this post! I love the idea of having my gear with me at all times. I also have your ES/Bowtech bow and I LOVE it. Great blog!

  11. I love your blogs! I need to know what kind of bibs that you’re wearing and where to buy them! They are super cute!!!!
