Welcome to My Life!
You guys – it’s finally happening!!! Wife, mama, outdoor enthusiast, author, and now a BLOGGER!! The majority of my life has been surrounded by cameras and film crews so sharing my adventures with millions of people isn’t anything new, but blogging about it definitely is! Over the last 15 years, ever since our TV show first aired on Outdoor Channel, viewers have been brought along on my adventures around the world. It’s been incredible to share so many moments in my life with so many people, but it’s hard to capture everything in a 30-minute episode. Through social media, I can reach millions of eyes every single day, and although I post new content every day – there’s so much more to tell!
I receive hundreds of messages every day asking me questions about my family, my life, my home, my clothes, my travels, my workouts, my gear, my recipes, my favorite things, and the list goes on and on. I can’t post every answer on Instagram or Facebook so I decided to kick it up a notch and join the ‘blog squad’ to share more of what you guys want.
My handsome hubs, Tim Brent, and I are trying to do 4989930293 things at once and it’s not always perfect, but we love every minute of the beautiful chaos! We’re raising a 1-year-old wild woman (Leni Bow… she will steal your heart!), building our dream home, navigating two careers (Tim is in commercial real estate after retiring from a 12-year pro hockey career), I’m launching an Eva Shockey home décor line, doing promo for my book that came out this past fall (Taking Aim – check it out!), working on too many new projects (so many exciting secrets to spill!), and traveling the world for the best job that ever existed!!
I could keep listing all the new stuff coming in 2018, but instead, I’m going to be posting blogs regularly to keep everyone in the loop!

Eva, I’m soooo excited about your new blog! Ever since I heard/discovered you, I feel that I found an older version of myself. You’ve helped me find who I truly am, and that loving the outdoors isn’t something to be ashamed about just because I’m a girl. I would love if maybe you started a Youtube channel, but I know you’re very busy. I’d love for you to blog about some of your routines… makeup, cleaning, morning routine, night routine. I’d also love to read about your fashion favorites, and overall just get to see you in your daily life! Thank you for teaching me to take aim, and to shoot that shot.

I have to say this is the first blog I have subscribed to. I listened to the podcast you did with the Gritty Bowmen the other day and I loved the way you talked about life with Leni and the importance of advocacy for hunting/conservation. I am also a first time mom to a spunky 16 month old baby girl, Piper Sage. Hunting has become a passion of mine and it’s great to have a real female in the industry to aspire to. There aren’t many relatable women out there that are hunters, moms, and love home decor! *I’m hoping to see some wild game recipes!

I am a 21 year old hunter from Nova Scotia, Canada, and I just started last year at 20; roughly the same time you started. I also hunt with my father and now my fiancé, but there are no women in my life to share this passion with besides you! Thank you for sharing your passion and inspiring many others like myself. I just got into hunting about 4 years ago when my husband introduced me to the sport and I instantly fell in love! Do you use scent blocking products when you bow hunt? Would you consider doing a blog on those & cold weather clothes you use? It’s been so hard to products specifically for women!!
