Friday Finds: Archery Gear

August 1, 2019 by Eva Shockey 8 Comments

So you guys know how much I LOVE the outdoors, right?! Well a BIG part of that for me is shooting a BOW and all of the gear that goes along with that. I compiled a list of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ARCHERY GEAR. I’ve added everything from my personal bow to my trusted binos to the best-of-the best targets. Whether you’re an occasional target shooter or a hardcore bowhunter, fall is just around the corner so it’s time to buckle down and get your equipment ready. Let’s get started…

  1. Eva Shockey Signature Series Bow– I got to design this bow with the experts at Bowtech and it has been a top-seller ever since! It is the smoothest bow I’ve ever shot and is FAST, accurate and is by far the best looking bow I’ve seen… although I might be a little bit biased. This bow is PERFECT for the serious female archer! Click here to find a local dealer who sells this bow!
  2. Carbon Rose– This has a lower price-point than the ES bow but is a perfect intro bow for female archers! I shot this for years and loved it!
  3. Diamond Compound Bow Package– The PERFECT bow for youth looking to start shooting! It’s lightweight, inexpensive and shoots GREAT!
  4. Realm SR6– I’ve never shot this bow (since I’m hooked on the ES Bow above) but my dad and Tim both LOVE it. It has already won a bunch of awards… so this is the perfect bow for all the guys out there!
  5. Tru-Fire Eva Shockey Signature Release– Most of the releases on the market are focused only on function but I designed a release to focus on function AND fashion. Also, if you have smaller wrists and hands… this release will be just right for you!!
  6. Tru-Fire Hardcore Buckle Fold-Back Release– The FIRST and ONLY hook-style release to incorporate a pivoting head. It has a patented fold-back buckle that make this release truly one-of-a-kind.
  7. Taking Aim: Daring to Be Different, Happier, and Healthier in the Great Outdoors– If you’re looking for some reading material while you’re in the tree stand or some archery inspo – pick this up!! Juuuust saying 🙂
  8. Qalo Camo Step Edge Q2X Silicone Ring– My FAVORITE silicone ring from the Eva Shockey Collection! It’s perfect for all things outdoors. The description says Men’s but it’s actually UNISEX.
  9. Muzzy Trocar 100-Grain 3-Blade Broadheads– Talk about ACCURACY and precision. I’ve been using these for the last 5 years and love them!
  10. Rage Hypodermic Trypan 2-Blade Broadheads– Tim and my dad both swear by these! I think that speaks volumes on how good these things are.
  11. Carbon Express Mayhem DS Arrows- There are a ton of great arrows on the market and I have jumped between different brands over the years. I love these ones currently! If you’re looking for speed you’ll get the most bang for your buck from these arrows!
  12. MTN OPS Ignite Trail Packs- Ignite trail packs are great to throw in your backpack to mix with your water and keep your energy up during a hunt.
  13. Cabela’s Supreme Bow Case– This case makes it super easy for you to organize and carry all of your bow accessories. Take it with you on your next road trip or QuietKat ride (even has tie-down straps).
  14. Leupold RX-1600i TBR/W Rangefinder– The rangefinder is PACKED with technology to assist you in achieving all of your long-range distance shooting goals (by the way- this rangefinder has entered the market as the longest-ranging unit in its class)!!
  15. Stealth Cam G45NGMAX Game Camera–  Get an advantage this hunting season by setting-up your trail cams EARLY! I have been using Stealth Cam products for years. They are really simple to set up and the photos/ videos are ALWAYS super sharp. Each image includes the time, date, moon phase, temperature and name.
  16. IQ Bowsights Micro 5- Pin Bow Sight– Are you wanting to shoot tighter groups and longer distances?? Then this bow sight is what you should get…hands down. Everyone in my family has been using it for years with zero complaints.
  17. The Block Vault XXL– This is a staple in the Shockey-Brent household when it comes to archery targets. I can get my arrows out easily and smoothly, the black and white makes it easy to see from long distances, and lasts FOREVER. All levels can use!
  18. Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide– This is a MUST-HAVE for hunting 101. Not only do these binos provide clarity but are glare-resistant. I’ve only EVER used Leupold optics (my dad has been using them for 30+ years) so I’m obviously a big fan!!
  19. Cabela’s Bow & Rifle Pack- My absolute favorite hunting pack to strap to my bow when hiking up hills.
  20. GlenDel Buck Four-Sided 3-D Target– This buck-shaped target is the best thing EVER for the upcoming hunting season (or if you practice year-round). It’s oversized and four-sided so you can rotate it depending on what angle you want to practice shooting. The head also moves making it easy to store.
Anddddd that completes my Friday Finds: Archery Gear. I have an older post that you can check-out if you want even more info about: My Go-To Archery Gear! Are there any items you just can’t live without!? What are YOUR favorite products and brands? Headed to your local Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops, yet!? I want to know all the DETAILS. Let me know in the comments!

Good morning Eva, best wishes to you and your family. I was recently at the Vancouver WA Barnes and Nobles, and I found, in full display, a copy of your book Taking Aim. Just thought you might like to know.
