It’s time to dive back into the lake house tour! Today, I’m sharing the final spaces on the top floor, the master bedroom and ensuite.
Just like in our main home, I wanted this bedroom to feel like a true sanctuary. After long (and very full!) summer days at the lake, Tim and I needed a place to recharge. So, I kept everything simple, calm, and uncluttered to reflect that easy, breezy lake life mood.
Keep scrolling to see how it all came together!

As you walk into the bedroom, you’re immediately greeted with those same beautiful wood-paneled ceilings paired with fresh white walls using Spectrum Paints Fresh White (SP4). Right away, the space feels bright, airy, and peaceful.
And while you’re looking up, you’ll notice the simple farmhouse-style ceiling fan from Circa Lighting (Hicks 60″ LED Ceiling Fan). Even with AC, a ceiling fan is an absolute MUST at the lake, especially during those warm summer nights.
When it came to the bed, I kept things minimal but incredibly comfy. Since we don’t spend a ton of time sleeping at the lake (thanks, kiddos!), quality rest is key. That’s why I always go back to my tried-and-true Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Sheets. They’re soft, breathable, and honestly feel like butter.
As for the poufs…I get asked about these all the time! They add the perfect cozy touch and extra seating without cluttering the space.
And I can’t forget one of my favorite details in the entire room…the skull mount! That’s actually my axis deer from a hunt in Lanai, Hawaii with the Pineapple Brothers. Fun fact: I was 7 months pregnant with Boone on that trip, definitely one for the memory books!

Now, let’s head into the ensuite!
I carried that same natural and white color palette into this space to keep everything feeling cohesive. However, I wanted to layer in a bit of texture, so I added white shiplap behind the sinks. It’s subtle, but it makes such a difference.
The vanities are separated by a door that leads into the walk-in closet, which, honestly, makes getting ready together so much easier. No bumping elbows over the sink!
For lighting, I chose the Garrett 4-Light Sconce from Circa Lighting. It has that barely-there look, which is exactly what I wanted because the mirror truly steals the show. The Demetria Wooden Mirror from Uttermost features a chevron-patterned wood frame that adds the perfect rustic warmth.
Moving down to the countertops, I went with Caesarstone quartz in Frosty Carrina, the same as in my kitchen. Not only is it durable, but it also keeps everything feeling clean and timeless.
To finish the look, I chose brushed bronze hardware from Top Knobs (Aspen Peak Knobs and Aspen Flat Sided Pulls). Altogether, these details bring in that classic-meets-rustic feel I love so much.
And finally, the rugs. Because let’s be honest, stepping onto something warm and cozy in the morning is a must. This Ruggable Sarrah Hazel Rug adds both comfort and style.

And that wraps up the master bedroom and ensuite and officially, the entire upstairs of the lake house!
Next up, we’re heading downstairs…where things take a bit of a turn. Think: a totally different color vibe and a full guest space (including a kitchen!). I may have gone a little wild down there and I can’t wait to show you.
Stay tuned!
