It’s time to dive back into the tour of the lake house! Rounding out the top floor is the master bedroom and ensuite. Just like at my main house, I wanted to make the master bedroom a sanctuary. A place for Tim and me to recharge after loooooong summer days and nights at the lake. I kept the design simple and uncluttered to match our easy breezy mood when we’re at the lake. Keep scrolling to see how this room turned out!
As you walk into the bedroom just off the Great Room on the main floor, you’re greeted with the same beautiful wood-paneled ceilings and fresh white walls using Spectrum Paints Fresh White (SP4). While you’re looking up, you’ll see a simple farmhouse ceiling fan light fixture from Circa Lighting – Hicks 60″ LED Ceiling Fan. Even with AC, a ceiling fan is a MUST at the lake!
Since we don’t spend much time sleeping at the lake, I kept the bed simple yet COMFY so Tim and I can get some good quality rest to keep up with the crazy kiddos! For the bedding, I went with my tried and true Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Sheets! Luxurious, soft, breathable, buttery… need I say more?! Now to the poufs…I always get so many questions on where my poufs are from, so here you go – Upholstered Pouf.
OH! I almost forgot one of the best parts of the room…the skull mount! Guess what?! That is my axis deer from when I was hunting with the Pineapple Brothers on the island of Lanai, Hawaii. Fun fact… I was 7 months pregnant with Boone on that hunt!!
Let’s head into the ensuite! I kept the natural and white color pallet flowing into the ensuite. For some subtle texture, I added white shiplap on the wall behind the sinks. The two vanities are separated by a door leading into the spacious walk-in closet, so Tim and I don’t have to bump into each other while brushing our teeth, ha! Ok, ok back to the vanities. The lighting fixture is of course from Circa – Garrett 4-Light Sconce. The barley-there appearance is EXACTLY what I was going for since the mirror is the real star of the show! Say hello to Uttermost’s Demetria Wooden Mirror. It features a chevron-patterned, solid wood frame for a natural rustic vibe that makes my heart flutter! As you make your way down to the countertops, you’ll see my gorgeous quartz countertops from Caesarstone in Frosty Carrina. I kept the countertops the same as my kitchen since quartz from Caesarstone is to die for! The cabinets feature knobs from Top Knobs – Aspen Peak Knob in Silcon Bronze Light & Aspen Flat Sided Pull (C-C) in Silcon Bronze Light. I wanted the ensuite to be clean and classic with a rustic flare, and the brushed bronze look of the knobs and pulls completely encompass all the elements of my vision. And finally, the rugs. A warm, fuzzy surface to rest your feet on while getting ready is a MUST, and this Sarrah Hazel Rug (3×5) from Ruggable looks as beautiful as it feels.
Alright, that wraps up the tour on the master bedroom and ensuite! And as a matter of fact, we’re done with the entire upstairs of the lake house. Next time, we’ll head downstairs, where the guests have their entire own living space, including a kitchen. You don’t want to miss this one because I went a little wild with an ENTIRELY different color VIBE!
