Girls – this one’s for you! I’ve searched far and wide and finally have a stack of THE BEST JEAN SHORTS EVER that are the perfect fit. They’re shorter on the sides so it shows some leg, but they’re longer in the back and in the crotch area (does that make sense?), so you aren’t showing too much skin and the important parts are wellllll covered. I get asked ALL THE TIME where I get them from so here you go! The secret is out – these are my favorite jean shorts plus a few other summer essentials that you need in your life!

I just got back from a two-week trip on Vancouver Island in Canada (if you haven’t been there, you NEED to go! It’s insanely beautiful and one of my favorite places on earth!) and it did NOT get the memo that it’s July, because it was fa-fa-freezing the whole time I was there. I was visiting my family and had to go dig through my old highschool clothes to find a hoodie and pants to wear for the entire trip… total suntan buzzkill!

However, for the rest of Canada and the USA (and around the world – let me know where you’re from in the comment section below!), summer is officially here – amen, hallelujah, thank you sun gods! I’m not actually a huge summer fan because I don’t love hot weather, however, I love a few summer aspects: outdoor BBQs (hello, Jalapeño Poppers on the Traeger!), lake days, fishing, camping, shooting my bow, suntans, iced coffee, watermelon, and last but not least, JEAN SHORTS!

If you know me, you probably know that I love wearing camo and I also love wearing dresses, but if you find me in my natural habitat on an average summer day, I will be wearing jean shorts, a t-shirt (or bodysuit, like this white one), sandals, sunglasses, and a hat. The problem is that I have a big booty and muscular legs (thank you, squats!), so I’ve always had a hard time finding shorts that fit properly without being too short or too tight, until now! These are flattering, comfortable, and make your legs look like Carrie Underwood’s – score!

I love suntanning but hate getting sun on my face because I have crazy bad hyperpigmentation that gets even darker if I take any sun, so you’ll always see me wearing a hat in the summer. These gladiator sandals are super comfortable and inexpensive, so they’re the perfect accessory to this simple summer outfit!

I love, love, love wearing jean shorts (like these black ones, and acid-washed ones) with a simple tee and Rayban aviators (in pink and blue). It’s easy to mix and match colors and always looks comfortable and trendy!
