    Hey Eva,

Heard you were having trouble deciding on paint colours for the interior of your home! I’m currently in the process of renovating myself and found it extremely handy when I came across Jillian Harris’ blog post “10 tips for selecting paint colours for your home” if you’re looking for a warm more traditional paint colour go check her blog out! Wishing you all the best.

When you originally were going back and forth about the privacy and clear glass, I voted for the clear glass, but now that I see the privacy glass installed, I like it!

  3. Amanda says:

Clear glass in the front entrance!! Your spot is private. Take in the view 🙂

  4. Laura Baldwin says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! If you’re looking for any type of stone for your home give us a shout. We have tons of stone to choose from for your home, inside and out, at Rock-It Natural Stone. If you come take a look maybe we can squeeze in some time for a quick hunt. We are over-run with hogs.

  5. David Muench says:

Actually Eva I think I would go with the privacy Glass if you don’t with a small child in toe you will be constantly cleaning all of everything. Just thinking ahead.

  6. Jolene Karnitz says:

I have absolutely loved Alabaster White from sherman williams. It is just the right amount of hue and not yellow, blue or purple. my personal favorite! Also the privacy glass is my vote, just to have a small barrier in between you and the world. I think it looks great with your door, and the “chippy” feel of your beams is reflected in the privacy windows 🙂 ENJOY this house! Its so awesome!

  7. Darrell Carnline says:

I would also go with the privacy glass, unless you are on a lot acreage or protected by trees from a road or street.
Also a white color that we used on our house is called pure white and we love! But we used it as our outside trim color, if your using it as your main color that might be a different animal.

  8. Stacey says:

For exterior paint colors on our house we found someone else’s house that we liked and got the exact paint colors from them. That way we knew what the color looked like on an actual house and that the trim colors looked good too. I can’t imagine picking a house color off of a tiny sample, but we did green. I think most whites would look good.

  9. Jada Aycock says:

Eva these pictures are amazing! I am totally loving these updates and so excited for your family. The choices y’all have made are flowing together so smoothly. I absolutely love your den area the windows look great! Can’t wait to see even more soon.

    Love & Support always
    ❤️Jada

  10. Tami says:

I would go with clear glass since you are out in the country and dont have to really worry about privacy from neighbors!

  11. Anita says:

Love it .. I would go with the non see through door .. little hand prints and dog jumping up looking out ???

  12. Laura Tillis says:

I personally because we have clear glass that allows you to see through the home when walking up and we’re on the Intercoastal it’s just beautiful. You’re on a private lot, I’d go clear so you can see right through that gorgeous wall of windows behind the front door,

  13. Jeff Auton says:

Eva I have really enjoyed your pics. My wife and I just built a modern farmhouse just east of Raleigh and actually miss the building process. I Work for Knight Hardwood in Raleigh. We are a flooring distributor. If you need any help with your hardwood flooring let me know. We put reclaimed heart pine in our home and it’s beautiful. Keep up the good work.

  14. Steffani says:

I have to say my favorite color for the walls of my home is Squirrel Tail by Bejamin Moore. It’s the perfect grey/green if you need a mudroom/man cave/office color.

  15. Jordan says:

    Hi Eva,

Thanks for sharing your details. We are about to kick off our build with our 2 young girls, Sydney and Evie (Evelyn). Could you share a picture of your floor plans? I’m curious to see the layout?

Keep up the great work representing hunters and women. My daughters will look up to you here soon!

    Best regards,
    Jordan

Love the photos and updates!! Please show more! I am seriously so in love with your home and so excited to see it completed! I think either glass would look great, but I would prefer the clear glass. You already have the privacy and I think the clear glass would give your home a more clean look and made that gorgeous door pop even more. I can’t wait for the next update!

  17. Jenna says:

Will you post your house plans? Would looove to see them!

  18. Jackie Cleaves says:

    Hi Eva!
Your house is looking amazing! And congratulations on baby #2! We just repainted our house and used Benjamin Moore Pale Oak. Check it out. It’s an amazing colour. It’s a very warm pale grey tone. Good luck with everything Eva.
