You’re such a genuine human, so kind, and thoughtful to the people around you. It makes my heart so happy to be able to watch your life from afar (in th most non creepy way ?)
Thank you for sharing your most intimate and private personal battles with us, it makes it easier seeing in some casing us ordinary People fighting those similar battles are not alone.
I suffered 8 miscarriages and the pain is unreal. Then when having my son I had a massive stroke 4 minutes after giving birth and barley made it out alive. It’s nice to read stuff like this to see you got your blessing and to remind myself to be thankful for what I DO have.
I love your sweet family so happy to watch you all grow ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Jamie Campbell says:

    Congrats ?

    • Kelsey says:

Congratulations!! I have a daughter who will be one this August and it’s the best! I’m sure Leni will be such a awesome big sister! She already has so much practice carrying around her “babies”!

    • Jenna says:

Oh my goodness! I opened Instagram and your new post about the pregnancy was the first I saw! I had taken a pregnancy test and hour earlier and found out I am now expecting too! I had a miscarriage in November and I’m with you sister, it just doesn’t seem real and I’m so nervous. Your post helped me (again) to keep remembering that God has this under control. Congratulations Eva!!

  3. Ashley Farago says:

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy!

I still am not my weight I was before pregnancy I am still on medication for the nausea without it I probably couldn’t keep anything down. So glad you are feeling better. Congrats to all 3 of you, Miss Eva! My mother had 4 miscarriages. I was her one and only! I AM that miracle baby❤️ She wanted me so much that I was artificially inseminated. She went 3 or 4 times before I decided to stick around. You’re looking at a real test tube baby! In the flesh 😉
Nothing to be “ashamed “ of or “embarrassed” by. It’s comforting to know that people like you, Tim and my mother want babies so deeply that all there is, is love.

  29. Bridget S. says:

Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing your amazing story with all of us! My husband and I miscarried in March of 2018 with our first baby at 12 weeks (we were due Oct. 13th 1018). It was only our second month trying so we felt very lucky and blessed until the miscarriage. It was a devastating loss and you don’t really understand it until you’re unfortunate enough to go through it. Since then we have been trying to get pregnant naturally and recently just started going to get fertility treatments to start IUI. The two week wait would consist of a roller coaster of emotions every month. We found out two weeks ago that we are now expecting!! We are due Oct. 13th 2019 (just 9 days from when our 2018 baby would have been due) and we are beyond excited and nervous. It’s a true blessing and we are so thankful of God’s timing. In the mean time- I have enjoyed watching little Leni grow up and it’s so exciting to see her as a little sister! So sorry for the long story- just wanted you to know you are NOT ALONE! Praying for a healthy pregnancy and birth for you! ?

  30. Megan Conatser McCollough says:

I couldn’t be happier for you and your family of 4! I am also excited to share that we will have both our babies born in same months/ year! I thought for sure I wouldn’t experience this journey at the same time as you again but as good luck would have it, we are!!! I know it’s not as exciting for you to share with someone you don’t follow or know anything about but just know that I very much love everything you’re about! Life is good and this will be a fun journey! Can’t wait to hear more!

  31. Tracie says:

Congrats!! I’m so excited for you all!! From NC ❤❤??

  32. Mackenzie K says:

Congratulations! I want you to know how appreciative I am that you share your infertility stories. Just in the last week I have come to realize that IVF will be in my future and it’s rough to finally admit that. Multiple IUIs didn’t work and so I’m taking a break and will begin my ivf journey hopefully in the not too far future. Your story gives hope and I hope and pray you have any easy pregnancy and enjoy the journey. Thank you!!

  33. Jacqueline says:

Congratulations! I am also the 1 in 5. I went through two miscarriages in the past year and am now 5 weeks along with my third pregnancy and hopefully first baby. God bless you and your family. Thank you for sharing your personal story with the world.

  34. Carly says:

I just want to apologize for the people asking “when are you going to have another?” So rude especially with you being open about the struggles with infertility. Congrats ❤️

Congrats and I hope you do blog about your fertility journey. 8 IUIs, 7 IVFs and a miscarriage later we had our miracles in 2014…. And I am VERY honest about what I went through.
Women (and men) need to hear that it’s okay if you need help creating your family. And you’re one of the best role models to get the word out there.

  37. Ashlee says:

Congratulations! I have not experienced the infertility part of what you went through but I made a miscarriage last May. I just found out a few weeks ago I am pregnant and at 6 1/2 weeks. I’m so nervous/excited! God really does have a perfect plan! So excited to hear you are pregnant, I’ve been following your journey!

  38. Hannah says:

So excited for your family! I have had two miscarriages now, how do you deal with people asking you all the time “when are you having a baby” or jokingly say “your not pregnant are you!?” When these people don’t know the struggles you have been through? Just wondering how you coped with those comments and questions? Thanks Eva!!

    • Saidi Grimm says:

The struggle is REAL! ? I’ve taken to responding to people’s innocent “when’s baby #2 coming?” by saying, “as soon as the good Lord blesses us!” If I’m close to them, I’ll ask for prayers; other wise we share a smile and talk about what a great kid we have and what a wonderful big brother he will be.
Congratulations to you and your beautiful, growing family! ❤️

  39. Jessica says:

God bless your family and your little miracle!! I too have suffered infertility and had 2 miscarriages. We found out mid- December we are expecting again and I am also due in August!! 1 in 8 couples struggle with infertility…I know you said you werent sure how many people need fertility assistance. Gives you such an appreciation for the miracle of life! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your journey with us ♡.

  72. Rachel Hannan says:

    Dear Eva,
I am so happy for you family. At first when I started to read this, I had a tinge of pain and jealousy. But as I kept reading that all changed. You see, I just had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and would have been due around the same time as you. This will be my second miscarriage. I do have 2 children already, but to be almost 3 months pregnant and have your baby pass and your body not know it was very tough. Your words of having hope and faith in God made me feel better. It is nice to know that I’m not alone in struggles of having a family and to keep faith. Thank you for sharing that part. We plan to try again sometime soon, and I will be scared for awhile, just like you were. Thanx again for sharing and reminding me that God IS good.

  73. Angie says:

So happy for your family. You stated that you guys are super busy. Make time to enjoy the day to day. Stop and smell the roses whenever you can. You will blink and your babies will be grown. God Bless!

  74. Angela Chiesa says:

So many congratulations to the Shockey- Brent family! I’ve been following your family on IG for a while now and absolutely LOVE you as a human Eva. You are real, honest, and say what you feel. You’ve been so open about your struggles to have a 2nd child….and even though I’m not a momma to a human….only an adorable furbaby goldendoodle…..I appreciate the honesty you provide to the many women and men out in the world trying to have a family and are unable to or are in the same struggles. Looking forward to watching your family grow. Hopefully it’s smoother sailing for you and the baby moving forward throughout your pregnancy and hopefully Miss Leni Bow transitions well for you 🙂 Many thoughts and prayers to you and your family for a smooth pregnancy and safe pregnancy ahead! Remember, no matter the struggles, the path of yours has already been set before you knew it…. so enjoy the ride!

We are now expecting again too, and feeling so grateful and excited for this rainbow baby! Glad you’re starting to feel better, and don’t fret about those first trimester carbs, we gotta just get through it (especially when you have a toddler to stay conscious and upright for!!).

I admire you so much Eva. My husband and I struggled to get pregnant for years, I still remember the heart break of every negative pregnancy test and finally in September of 2017 we found out we were having our little miricle baby. Waylon James was born May 21 2018 and I have never been happier to be a mama. The struggle is real and I think it’s very endearing of you to share your struggle to let all of us know we aren’t alone. You’re amazing at what you do and I’m so happy for you. Congrats on your beautiful growing family Eva! I’m

  81. Katie T says:

Eva, I’m so glad you shared this! I was going through year two of infertility and a miscarriage after you announced Leni. I follow you on Instagram, but thought you had a beautiful wedding and got pregnant, no problem. I was thinking, of course…beautiful, successful, talented and has a baby right away! I was jealous and feeling sorry for myself.
Fast forward and less than a year later we got our rainbow baby, which made all the infertility struggles totally worth it. I never knew you were and have been on a similar road. Lesson to me to always remember you really have no idea what people are going through.
I’m sorry to hear that you and so many other women struggle to have a baby, but so happy that #2 is on the way! Congrats to you and your family!!!!

  82. Margaret Williams says:

Hi Eva! I am just so happy for you and Tim. We met in Dallas at the Weatherby Award Gala. I’m the lady who told I’m the grandmother giving advise!(since I know you both were bombarded with fans) I am a hunter and good friends with Tim Fallon and we spoke about FTW. You andTim are so incredibly blessed. My middle daughter has the same fertility issues. They have gone through the IUI many times and IVF. They are now the parents of two of the most precious little almost four year old twin girls! They are our miracle babies as they were born at 25 weeks and in the NICU for 74 days! Yes God is SO awesome! Praise the Lord! God Bless You, Tim, and Leni and both of your families.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm127:3

  83. Maria says:

Eva, I don’t personally know you and Tim and your beautiful Leni, but honestly I feel soo connected to you…I love following you guys and reading all your posts. You are a beautiful family. I wish you all much happiness and good health. Congrats!!

  84. Angie says:

Eva – Congratulations!! And also, THANK YOU! I have experienced not one but two miscarriages in the last 5 months and it has been rough. Your announcement and messages (have me sobbing but also) give me HOPE!

Blessings to you, Tim & Leni Bow!

  85. Melissa Mayerhofer says:

Congrats!!! So happy for you, Tim and Leni. Leni will be the best big sister and like you said you will figure it all out when he/she gets here, it hectic with 2 kids but so rewarding, you will all do great. Praying for an easy and smooth pregnancy. Please keep us posted.

    • Tracie says:

  86. Diana Kincaid says:

Prayers to you for a continued, healthy pregnancy. ❤️

  87. Mollie says:

Eva…love that you are willing to share your story as miscarriage and infertility are so much more common than people realize and nothing to hide or be ashamed of!! God’s timing is always perfect, even when we don’t seem to understand it ❤️ Sending prayers your way for a healthy pregnancy!!

  88. Margaret Williams says:

Hi Eva! thank you so much for all that you share! I met you ion Dallas at the Weatherby Gala…(the grandmother with all kinds of advise ;~} and we talked about FTW and we are friends with Tim Fallon!) Many blessings to you Tim, Leni and both of your families.”But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children,”Psalm 103:17 ESV. Our middle daughter has struggled with fertility as well and went through many miscarriages, IUI’s, surgeries and finally through the painful, IVF. They are now are blessed with two of the most beautiful little miracle twin girls ever! They were born at 25 weeks and in the NICU for 74 days! Now, almost 4 years old they are caught up and thriving! God’s miracles abound; our God is an Awesome God! May His riches be blessed on you and Tim and this pregnancy. I know sweet little Leni will be the BEST big sister! All my best and kind regards, Margaret Williams , Midland TX

  89. Paul says:

Eva, thank you for this. I’m watching my 2 month miracle baby old sleep as I write. My wife and I struggled for 6 years through the same process. Success, failure, success, shots, failure, shots, retrieval, hope, success, failure, then, finally, our little girl. It’s painful for men and women to go through and it takes a strong couple to endure the process. Your honesty and openness about your journey is helping people who feel alone know that they are not defective and that others are supportive and encouraging. It also helps people who have never had fertility issues think about it and maybe not ask the questions. It’s great that you’re sharing your story. As a husband who loves his wife so much it’s hard to not be able to take all the pain of infertility away from her. We were successful but painfully aware of the roller coaster of the process. Thank you for using your platform in such an honest way. People really benefit from hearing that they are not alone. Have a great day Eva.

  90. Kiah says:

Congraulations on adding another adorable little soul to your beautiful family! Leni is going to be the best big sister ever! I would love to see more blogs about your journey to get pregnant as that is something my partner and I are currently seeking help with. We have been together for nine years and have been trying for about a year when we went to the doctor to make sure everything was okay. Well it is not and fertility treatments are what was recommended for us so I would love to know more about IVF and IUI you went through. There is nothing more I have ever wanted than to be a mother since the age of three. May you have the best pregnancy !

    Hi Eva,
You’re such an inspiring individual to so many women out there going through similar struggles as you! A lot of people forget that celebrities don’t suffer from “real world” problems. I believe that through the advancements of technology, it has really helped individuals share their stories with confidence!
I have not had my own personal struggles with infertility however, I am currently carrying my second surrogate baby for a couple who have struggled in so many ways. The mother was born without the proper child bearing equipment and to top it off, a blood disease. She had also previously lost a set of twins with another surrogate because they had tried using her eggs but the twins were developing without kidneys. She (the mother of the child I’m carrying), has known struggle. It has really opened my mind to the fact that as long as we continue to share our struggles, instead of being ashamed and embarrassed, the community of supportive women will continue to grow and be strengthened. It will also give other women who do feel ashamed and/or embarrassed of their struggles to maybe share with the world. Because of examples like you! They see your confidence and that you’re a real person with real problems!! So thanks again for sharing and I hope the best for you throughout the rest of this pregnancy and that you’ll continue to be uplifted by the power of The almighty! Congratulations to you and your family!
I hope Tim has also been supported and supportive throughout this struggle! I’m sure he has but the world sometimes forgets that our men feel too. Congrats to you too Tim!

Eva, Tim and Leni…I am so happy for your all with baby number two. I love how down to earth you all are and share your journeys and life. Even with all your trials and tribulations, you still think of others and acknowledge that. It shows the genuine care you have for others and what they may be going thru. This is why I love your family…your mom and dad are the same way. I had the pleasure of meeting all of you at Sportsmans Warehouse in Mesa, AZ years ago, and it was a great experience. My thoughts and prayers for a healthy pregnancy for you all. I am sure Leni will be an amazing BIG SISTER…you gotta get her a “BIG SISTER” shirt…

As someone who is currently going through infertility and has done several rounds of IUI and now contemplating IVF i would love to hear your IVF story. Its very comforting to know that I’m not alone and others are going through the same thing as me. I truly believe there is strength in numbers and the more people talk about their experiences it makes them more relate able and not feel so alone. So, thank you for sharing and continue to do so… you have no idea how many people this will touch in a positive way, myself being one of them.

  106. Kristin says:

Congratulations to the Brent family! Eva, thank you so much for sharing your very personal but inspirational experience with infertility. 113. Cathy says:

Congratulations!! Very happy for you, Tim and Leni. She’s going to be an awesome big sis! I understand the difficultly in getting pregnant and the struggles physically and emotionally. I had problems getting pregnant and one of my best friends experienced numerous miscarriages before and between having her two children. My husband and I were blessed with two amazing twin girls who love the outdoors. Will pray for you to have a continued heathy pregnancy.

  114. Jim Varga says:

To the entire family , congratulations… Very exciting news. Grand Dad Jim has to be so excited as well.

  115. Kara says:

Yayy!! So exciting ? So Happy for your sweet family.
My hubby and I have been together for almost 4 years (known each other for 10) and have had no luck with babies. Went to our doctors and were given a less than 1% chance of having a baby (endometriosis for me/zero sperm for him). Prayed on it and kept telling him I would be that 1% (he had lost hope). Went to me yearly exam in January and found out we are expecting ? I am 9 weeks and just keep praying my baby will stay with me. God surprises us in the most wonderful ways ??

  116. Adara Brueck says:

As someone who has dealt with infertility and all the heart break that comes with it, I cry big, huge, happy crocodile tears for you!!! My heart is so excited for you and your family!! And it just proves to me that God has a plan. I look forward to meeting you at the Western Hunting Expo!!

  117. Sarah Jones says:

Congratulations Brent family!!! I too have traveled through the journey of infertility and miscarriage. Did months of hormone treatments to get pregnant naturally didn’t work. So we did 3 IUI rounds, 3rd one took unfortunately ended up being ectopic and ruptured. Had emergency surgery to take the baby and my left tube. Learned our final option was IVF for me to carry my own babies. As soon as we were cleared we started IVF, we now have the most amazing 9 month old baby girl that I couldn’t imagine life without. We are also extremely blessed to have 6 additional frozen embryos to work with when we get ready for baby number 2! Again congrats such a blessing and happy time in life!

  118. Tiana says:

A very huge congratulations on baby #2!? you got this! Enjoy lana’i & Maui. Very beautiful islands! My two favorite islands to travel too. I’m from Oahu. You & Leni will love the beaches! You must try Hawaiian food if you didn’t already have! Aloha!?

  119. Donald Daigle says:

    Congratulations

  120. Susan Sova says:

I want to 1,000 times congratulate you. I was excited to see your announcement, but the emotion I felt when I read how this little miracle baby was conceived fell heavy on me because I went through the EXACT same thing. The timing of your IVF was even the same as mine, minus a year. Little Brixton’s embryo was implanted in the beginning of December 2017 and he was born August 22, 2018. My daughter (2.5 years now), was also conceived through ONE round of IUI, so when IUI didn’t work the second time around, I was devastated. We tried IUI 4 times before moving to IVF. I can’t wait to read your blog about it. I feel your pain when you talk about shots in the butt….my butt muscles tense up as I type this. Nobody can understand what it’s like physically or emotionally unless they’ve gone through it. Sending you much love and a healthy and prosperous rest of your pregnancy!

  121. Bobbi Westbrook says:

I also did IVF, ate my weight in cereal and carbs until two weeks ago, am due in August, and building a house hopefully to move in summer! End of summer is going to hit us hard but be oh so worth it! So happy for you and look forward to following your journey. I’ll be huge and uncomfortable in the summer heat (KY) right there with ya!

  122. Sandra says:

Oh my god! This could honestly be a copy past of my own situation. I’m also due in august with number 2 after a struggle with IVF. Again. Felt good with my daughter on the first pregnancy but this time! Holy mother of God! I felt nausious for like 5 weeks.
I wish you all the best and am looking forward to follow you on the journey to number 2 ❤️

  123. Kristen says:

Eva, I am so happy for you & your family! Babies are beautiful blessings. In May 2017 we had a miscarriage, my body did not do it on its own & I had to have a D&C. It’s very devastating to go through those kinds of things. This November we found out we have a little one coming August 13th 2019! I’ve been nervous & sick, but am almost 15 weeks now & we heard the heartbeat at 13 weeks which was a big relief for me! Wishing you well! ?

  124. Kayla says:

Congratulations Eva on baby #2! I also had a miscarriage in March 2018 and we are now expecting a little boy in May. I’ve also been struggling with food aversions and low energy chasing around my almost 3 year old. I hope you continue to have a healthy pregnancy and I can’t wait to follow your journey❤️

  125. Thank you for being so open about your IUI and IVF. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year and a half and have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I’ve been on 3 rounds of Clomid, had 2 IUIs and we are still waiting. This post helps me know I’m not alone and that better things are coming. Congrats to you and your growing family!
